I could smell the fresh, earthy aroma that the ground emitted, and I was abruptly entranced by this amazing grassland. What secrets would it hold?
As I searched the land, I realized a few things:

The soil was great for about six months, and we happily planted seeds and grew many different plants such as wheat or barley. The animals, which our zoologist was pleased to know, feasted on the bounty of food. Rain poured down each day; I found out from the meteorologist that there are specific dry and wet seasons. The wet season was lucky for us, because we could have fresh meat. When the dry season of winter came, I dug into the soil once more, dreading what I was about to see. However, underneath the layers of earth were flowers, fruit-bushes, and other plants growing underneath (go to the botanist's page to find out more about this phenomenon).
